December 9, 2008: Peter Case

December 9, 2008 1:12 pm by: Jay Trachtenberg

As a core member of The Plimsouls and The Nerves, songwriting troubadour Peter Case helped define power pop in the early ‘80s, but a series of exceptional solo albums since 1986 display Case’s heavy lean toward the folk tradition. Last year’s Let Us Now Praise Sleepy John on Yep Roc Records was Grammy-nominated for Best Folk Album of the Year. Hear Peter Case live in Studio 1A, joined by fellow L.A. resident and singer/songwriter Crosby Tyler.
