December 23, 2008: the Palm School Choir
Led by music teacher and director Gavin Tabone, The Palm School Choir of Palm Elementary in southeast Austin, TX sing cover versions of the Flaming Lips, Wilco and the Shins, to name a few amidst their vast repertoire of exciting and thoughtful material. Their first official performance took place in the summer of 2004, and since they’ve performed onstage with Lyle Lovett, opened for Neil Young at the South by Southwest Music Festival and have been featured twice on NBC’s Today Show.
