December 15, 2008: Eleanor Whitmore

December 15, 2008 11:57 am by: John Aielli

Brooklyn, NY’s Eleanor Whitmore sounds just at home on the violin with a string quartet as she does blazing with her flamin’ red hair and fiddle in hand in a rock’n’roll setting. Whitmore’s performed in orchestras with Dianna Ross and Andrea Bocelli and toured with Regina Spektor, Slaid Cleaves and Ray Wylie Hubbard to name a few. Her debut album as leader, Airplanes, features the production and guitar work of Son Volt’s Chris Masterson. Hear Whitmore and Masterson live in Studio 1A on Eklektikos with John Aielli.
