Guitarist, vocalist and blues legend Guitar Shorty was recently awarded by the Blues Foundation when Alligator Records release We the People won Contemporary Blues Album of the year for 2007. Credited with influencing Jimi Hendrix and Buddy Guy, Guitar Shorty’s legendary live performances have been charging audiences for over five decades, beginning in 1957 with a single produced by fellow legend Willie Dixon. Hear Guitar Shorty live on KUT Thursday at 2:00 p.m. on Music with Jay Trachtenberg.
