Damien Rice: “Coconut Skins”
Less than ten years ago, you might have been able to have seen Irish singer-songwriter, Damien Rice busking in the streets of Europe. Only through his second cousin, David Arnold (famous for scoring five James Bond films), did Rice get the chance to record his own material.
In 2003, Rice released O, which was a huge success in the UK (and later in the US). The raw emotion of Damien Rice’s songs always seem perfect for film and TV, as evidenced by his laundry list of credits.
This song, “Coconut Skins,” first appeared on Rice’s sophomore album, 9. This version was recorded live at KUT.
