The Golden Boys Play Tonight at Stubb’s Indoor Venue

Trippy-dippy countrified pysch bandits The Golden Boys just completed tours of the East and West coasts, and released their new CD Goodbye Country on Monofonus Press last month. These are busy times for the band in what some call Austin’s psych-country revival, but the guys take it in stride. They don’t mind the comparisons to the 13th Floor Elevators or the Sir Douglas Quintet. It’s all good.

Tonight, they’re opening for The Heartless Bastards at Stubb’s indoor venue, 801 Red River. The HB’s have also just finished a tour, and will start another in New York City, supporting their next record in February.

Great sound all around. Things should start rolling tonight by 10 p.m.
