Fun³ Fest ‘08 – St. Vincent: “Now, Now”
Dallas native Annie Clark used to tour as part of the large band fronted by Sufjan Stevens. She also played guitar in the 23-member collective The Polyphonic Spree. Nowadays, the guitar virtuoso/vocalist/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist (and former hair model) is all by her lonesome, performing under the moniker St. Vincent (though she now lives in Brooklyn with 8 zillion other musicians).
Her 2007 debut album, Marry Me, garnered lots of critical acclaim. She was named Female Artist of the Year in 2008 by the PLUG Independent Music Awards.
