Spoon: “Don’t Make Me A Target”

Austin’s ambassadors of ‘Smart Rock‘ have done it again. Spoon’s mix of pop-rock with smart, introspective lyrics have made this oft-changing four-piece the object of much local and national praise.

This tune, ‘Don’t Make Me A Target,” the opening track from their latest LP, Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga, is a testament to the band’s development of scale. It was recorded right here at KUT, and it has all the hooks you would expect from Austin’s most prolific musical export.
