Rodney Crowell Performs Tonight at One World Theater

November 12, 2008 6:00 am by: Laurie Gallardo

Houston native Rodney Crowell is a Grammy-Award winner and a bonafide badass. Over the years, many of his peers have been drawn to his prolific songwriting, even if he wasn’t necessarily a huge presence on commercial radio.

Little wonder, then, that on Crowell’s latest release, Sex and Gasoline, you can once again feel that potent vibe. Austin music journalist Lynne Margolis reviewed his album for KUT’s Texas Music Matters back in September, and noted that Crowell isn’t afraid to be crochety. As a matter of fact, he’s in your face and doesn’t back down.

Crowell has two performances scheduled tonight, at 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m., at One World Theater, 7701 Bee Caves Rd.
