Not the man but the band, Austin’s Frank Smith formed in Boston. Their fourth and latest release Heavy Handed Peace and Love is bright alt-country complete with lap steel, harmonica and banjo supporting lead singer Aaron Sinclair’s distinctive vocals. You can also hear them backing singer Juliana Hatfield on her latest Sittin in a Tree. Catch Frank Smith warming up Studio 1A Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. on Music with Jay Trachtenberg before their appearance at this weekend’s Fun Fun Fun Fest.
