Immersing himself in blues, classic country, and vintage rock’n’roll as a teenager, former Blaster and current Knitter Dave Alvin helped kick-start the American roots-rock scene in the late ‘70s. Since, Alvin has built a solo career of his own as performer, producer, songwriter and collaborator. Along the way, he’s seen others score major hits with his songs while picking up projects with like-minded artists like Ramblin’ Jack Elliott and former X-man John Doe.
