November 19, 2008: Future Clouds & Radar
Austin-based songwriter, performer and bandleader Robert Harrison set the tone for pure pop perfection as the leader of his former and critically acclaimed project Cotton Mather. Last year, Harrison branched out with an ambitious 2-CD debut as the pop-rock orchestra Future Clouds and Radar, complete with strings, a horn section and far-reaching songs. The group’s latest and 2nd release Peoria is more intimate, and a bit darker and serious in tone, complete with melodic pop stylings and a touch of psychedelia. Hear Future Clouds and Radar live in Studio 1A Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. before the band’s in-store at Waterloo Records Thursday afternoon show at The Mohawk Thursday night.
