Austin’s Nakia grew up in the shadow of 3614 Jackson Highway, the home of the Muscle Shoals sound. That’s where he picked up the Southern soul flowing through the veins of singers like Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett and Percy Sledge. His own brand of soul and R&B is all over his second release and first full-length Water to Wine, featuring Michael Fracasso and Barry ‘Frosty’ Smith. Hear Nakia and his band live in Studio 1A.
