Kathleen Edwards (feat. John Doe): “Asking For Flowers”
Though she hails from Ottawa, Canada, Kathleen Edwards crafts some of the most infectious “Americana” music around. She began her music career as a classically trained violinist, but after high school, inspired by Neil Young and Bob Dylan, she started writing her own music.
Now working with famed former punk-rocker, John Doe (of the band X), Edwards crafts smart, honest road tales. Like this tune, “Asking for Flowers” (the title track to her latest CD), which was recorded right here at KUT a couple of weeks ago.
