Kacy Crowley Plays Tonight at Momo’s

November 3, 2008 6:00 am by: Laurie Gallardo

Originally from New England, singer-songwriter Kacy Crowley got her start playing coffeehouses in Los Angeles, then eventually made her way to New York. But the big city life was a bit much. She found a new start in Austin, where she released her independent debut album, Anchorless. It was rereleased on Atlantic Records in 1997.

It was a fairly good stint on Atlantic, but now Crowley is making music independently again. Her latest, Cave, seems to have a slightly darker tone compared to her earlier work, but ultimately reveals an inner strength and an optimistic message. It’s been one hell of a life, but Crowley shows the light that’s just ahead.

You can see her perform tonight at Momo’s, 618 W. 6th St. Her show begins at 7 p.m.
