Jon Langford: “I Love a Millionaire”

November 20, 2008 5:00 am by: Andrew Uhler

Welshman Jon Langford started out as the drummer for punk-rockers The Mekons in the mid-seventies. Since then, he’s worked on incorporating folk and country music into punk rock, and effectively created a sound that is genre-less. One of his more famous side projects, The Three Johns, included John Hyatt and John Phillip Brennan.

Along with his music, Langford is a well respected visual artist and a regular contributor to This American Life.

This tune, “I Love a Millionaire,” is a great satirical jaunt into the life of the privileged.
