Fun³ Fest ‘08 – Parts and Labor: “Nowheres Nigh”
Critics call Brooklyn’s Parts and Labor a noise-rock band, but I give them a bit more credit than than. On their latest release, Receivers, the band has honed their sound into a more accessible indie pop.
This tune, called “Nowheres Nigh” is a perfect example. Tinny guitars up front, no doubt, but there’s a commitment to song craft that wasn’t apparent on their earlier work.
