Fun³ Fest ‘08 – Leatherbag: “It’s Over”
After moving to Austin in 2005 in the wake of Hurricane Rita, sub-plant Randy Reynolds (better known by his adopted moniker, Leatherbag) has embedded himself in the modern local music scene. Case in point: Leatherbag’s performance at the Local Music Is Sexy party on Friday night (a sort of kick-off to this weekend’s the Fun Fun Fun Fest). It was a high energy, understated set, with numerous highlights.
This tune, called “It’s Over” was definitely one of them. Performed live at the Mohawk on Friday night (and expertly re-mixed by KUT sound engineer Seph Price), this catchy, two-and-a-half-minute pop number perfectly captured the spirit of the night.
