Earlimart: “Song For”
L.A.-based Earlimart gets its name from a small town in California, but their sound is anything but small town. Frontman Aaron Espinoza has been lauded for his delicate touch in the recording studio (he produces the band’s records and insists on using old-school analog recordings), and the band’s indie-pop sensibilities shine under his watchful eye.
In case you missed Earlimart at this year’s SXSW (they played at least six ‘official’ shows), here’s a tune captured live here at KUT. It’s the first cut from their latest release, Hymn and Her, called “Song For.”
