Andrew Bird: “Heretics”
Chicago native Andrew Bird first picked up the violin at age 4 and refined his classical repertoire (by ear) into his formative teenage years. But somewhere along the way, Bird got a taste for pop music, and he shunned his classical side.
Over the past decade, though, Andrew Bird has melded classical and pop, becoming one of the most prolific and critically celebrated artists in American indie music.
This tune, called “Heretics”, was recorded at KUT. It’s a great showcase of Bird’s multi-instrumental ability.
