David Grissom Does the Blues Jam Tonight at Antone’s

October 14, 2008 11:30 am by: Laurie Gallardo

In many ways, you could say that David Grissom is the man to talk to if you ever wanted to learn how to play guitar. The Austin-based songwriter and guitarist even published his own book, A Guide To Blues/Rock Guitar Soloing (Cherry Lane Music).

John Mayall and Lee Ann Womack are among the many respected artists who have recorded Grissom’s songs, and he’s performed with Joe Ely, John Mellencamp, The Dixie Chicks, The Allman Brothers…you name it. The lists are endless, and they’ll probably keep growing as long as Grissom keeps on playing. He is in demand.

See him tonight when he joins Antone’s Blues Society for their weekly Blues Jam at Antone’s, 213 W. 5th St. Chris Maresh and Tommy Taylor will also be a part of this evening’s line-up. Everything starts at around 8 p.m.
