The McMercy Family Band Performs Tonight at Lambert’s
There’s nothing like a great gospel classic, as performed by the ever-talented McMercy Family Band. Mind you, this is no ordinary gospel group, and it’s certainly not the church choir. It’s a collection of awesome musicians and vocalists that offers a fresh, alternative spin to the classic gospel sound. True, it’s a tad darker and edgy, but you’ll be moved by the spirit just the same. As they’ll tell you themselves, their show is like “a good old fashioned tent revival, except without the conversion at the end.”
The Annie Street Arts Collective, a group of artists and creative minds living in South Austin, asked the McMercy Family Band to perform at their super-duper fabulous show tonight at Lambert’s, 401 W. 2nd St. So hark, brothers and sisters! Let us all join hands and revel in the joyful noise! Or, better yet, go get yourself a beer at the bar and just enjoy the show.
