The Donkeys Play This Wednesday Night at The Mohawk
San Diego band The Donkeys are touring coast-to-coast this month in support of their second album, Living On the Other Side, a collection of some great summer-vibe music blending a wide array of clasic styles, everything from country to rock, to smatterings of psychedelia and 60′s-pop harmonies.
Even though you can clearly hear all of these influences, and then some, the music itself is very simple and basic. It’s refreshingly mellow and uncomplicated, and something to sing along to. Catch The Donkeys at their performance Wednesday night at The Mohawk’s indoor stage. Opening for The Donkeys are two awesome Austin bands, Golden Bear and VISITORS, starting at around 10 p.m.
