Funky Austin

September 18, 2008 9:30 am by: Peter Babb

Ask anybody about the Austin music scene in the 70′s and they will undoubtedly tell you about the outlaw country craze and the Armadillo World Headquarters. Fable Records was founded in 1973 by jazz trombonist Mike Mordecai and has been putting out cutting edge records ever since. Thomas Fawcett boards the funky time machine and revisits the legendary Fable label.
