Bo Porter Performs Tonight at Threadgill’s Old No. 1

September 30, 2008 11:20 am by: Laurie Gallardo

Music was a huge part of family life for Bo Porter. Bo toured throughout the South with his father, Reid Porter, and his bluegrass band, when Bo was just a kid. So, naturally, bluegrass is in the blood, but it’s mixed with a whole lot of country, rhythm and blues, and swing. Then along the way, he evolved his sound and explored surf rock, funk, and – of course – good ol’ rockabilly.

You can see Bo Porter tonight at Threadgill’s Old No. 1, at 6416 N. Lamar. The show starts at 8 p.m. Get on out there.
