Austin and San Antonio Representin’ This Saturday at The Parlor

September 19, 2008 11:11 am by: Laurie Gallardo

If you’ve still not been to a show at The Parlor at 100 E. North Loop, take advantage of an opportunity this Saturday night. True, it’s a smaller venue for gigs, but that’s what makes it even better – oh, and don’t forget the pizza. You can’t forget the pizza. Very important.

For Saturday’s pizza party, there’ll be a double dose of Austin and San Antonio talent. The lovely and talented Elizabeth Jackson of Darling New Neighbors will have a solo performance. Electronica is on the menu, courtesy of Candi and The Cavities. From San Antonio: Great power pop and huge doses of insanity by Druggist, and Marcus Rubio of the Gospel Choir of Pillows persuasion will be on hand to muse in his own polyrhythmic way. It’s a great line-up chock-full o’ goodies.

Everything usually gets started after 9-ish. Just add pizza and beer to the mix, and the weekend shall be most lovely.
