Mario Matteoli Performs Tonight at Jovita’s

Mario Matteoli spent a good six years playing bluegrass with The Weary Boys before going solo. It was time to move in another direction.

Matteoli found himself exploring more roots music and a slightly mellower side of his songwriting with his 2006 debut release, Hard Luck Hittin’. Later on came Golden State, his 2008 solo effort done with the help of singer-songwriter and partner Cayce March, bassist Jeff Johnston and keyboardist Matt Hubbard.

You can see Matteoli play tonight at Jovita’s, 1617 S. 1st St. The show begins at 8 p.m.
