John Michael Rose Performs at Threadgill’s Old No. 1 Saturday Night
Guitarist and vocalist John Michael Rose mixes blues, rock and Americana in his latest CD, Still On My Mind – sort of a melding of the styles of The Allman Brothers and Rufus Wainright, by turns. Rose relocated to Austin recently from Atlanta, and had no trouble immersing himself in the local music scene. See him perform Saturday night at Threadgill’s Old No. 1, 6416 N. Lamar Blvd, beginning at 9 p.m.
