Jim Ward of Sleepercar: “On My Way Back Home Again”
Jim Ward began his career in music as a teenager in El Paso. Just out of high school, Ward and his prog-rock band At the Drive-In gained a national underground following and a major record deal. These days, Jim Ward is making a little quieter style of music – under the name Sleepercar.
This is a tune that Ward recorded right here at KUT last month. It’s called “On My Way Back Home Again.” The original version appears on Sleepercar’s debut EP Quiet.
