Elizabeth Wills Performs Today in French Legation’s Evening Under the Oaks Concert Series
Art and expression of every kind have played important roles in shaping the ideas of songwriter Elizabeth Wills. The native Texan sees both as portals to a deeper understanding of life and the different facets about it, both positive and negative. From this exploration came Wills’ latest EP, Fly, named for the journey she’s taken in her own life. “This album is about what it truly means to spread wings and fly,” Wills says. “Fly out of a cage. Fly out of dark. Fly into light, into joy…into the unknown. And fly with a faith in something more.”
Wills will feature songs from her EP at her performance for the French Legation Museum’s Evening Under the Oaks Concert Series. This outdoor show starts at 7 p.m. today, and everyone’s encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnic sets. Admission is just a mere $3, and all proceeds from this concert will directly benefit the French Legation Museum’s operations and programs.
