Carrie Rodriguez: “El Salvador”
Austin’s Carrie Rodriguez was trained at Oberlin and had her sights on a career in classical music. Instead, the daughter of famed Texas singer-songwriter David Rodriguez traded in the classical scene for an Austin-style folk-pop sound.
This is a tune from her brand new album, She Ain’t Me. It’s called “El Salvador,” performed live right here at KUT.
