American Graveyard Headlines Tonight at Antone’s

August 14, 2008 6:00 am by: Laurie Gallardo

Austin band American Graveyard would probably stick an extra “alt.-” on “alt. country,” if that term actually meant anything to them. Basically, they mix up country, rock, jazz, blues and bluegrass, and anything rowdy all together, then blow the sucker out of proportion. This often leads to a smashing good time and lots of healthy flailing, hootin’ and hollerin’. These guys have been playing in bars and clubs throughout Central Texas since 2004, and show no signs of slowing down or lowering the volume.

American Graveyard headlines the show tonight at Antone’s, 213 W. 5th St. Be sure to get there after 9 p.m. to see all the great performances tonight, beginning with Fort Worth folk rockers Lifters, followed by singer-songwriter Johnny Goudie, and later, Jason Poe gives a solo performance.
