My Brightest Diamond: “From the Top of the World”

July 23, 2008 5:00 am by: Andrew Uhler

You might say Shara Worden was born into her profession. Her grandfather was an Epiphone-playing traveling evangelist, her father was a National Accordion Champion, and her mother was a classically trained organist. She got her degree from the prestigious University of North Texas school of Music, specializing in Opera. Worden went on to join Sufjan Stevens’ backing band, the “Illinoisemakers” before recording some solo stuff of her own. She uses the moniker, My Brightest Diamond.

This tune is called “From the Top of the World,” by My Brightest Diamond.
