James Hunter: “Don’t Do Me No Favours”
When James Hunter dropped by our studios just last week, he told us that his claim to fame was that he was from the oldest recorded Roman town – Colchester, in Essex, England. You could argue that Hunter’s music looks back to the past – though he’s looking a little more into the recent history to the sounds of the American R&B tradition.
This tune was recorded right here at KUT just last week. It’s called “Don’t Do Me No Favours” – written and performed by James Hunter. It appears on Hunter’s latest release, The Hard Way.
