July 15, 2008 3:00 pm by: Jay Trachtenberg

Nashville-born Bobby Bare Jr. has become a fixture in the scene of that other “music city.” He was nominated for a Grammy for a duet recorded with his father when he was only 6. His Allmans-meets-Nirvana band Bare Jr. had two major releases on Sony and Virgin Records, respectively. Now on Bloodshot Records, Bobby’s made three albums and toured with a variety of musicians, including The Decemberists, Aerosmith, Bob Dylan, and The Old 97’s. He’ll appear at this year’s Austin City Limits Music Festival in September. Listen to Bobby Bare Jr. live on Music with Jay Trachtenberg.
