Wye Oak Performs At Emo’s Tonight
Jen Wasner and Andy Stack are known as Wye Oak. They play all the instruments and provide the vocals. There’s building feedback and string arrangements, harmonizing and distorting, haunting echoes and lovely sounds. It’s the work of two artists, but it seems to emerge from a thousand sources. This is bliss.
See Wye Oak at their show tonight at Emo’s indoor venue. Also on the bill are the ominous stirrings of Brooklyn’s Pontiak, and Austin-based indie pop artist Sean Padilla under the moniker The Cocker Spaniels.
