Interview with Emmylou

June 17, 2008 9:26 am by: Peter Babb

Its been five years since Emmylou Harris sat down in a studio to record her own album. Thats not to say she hasn’t been busy. She’s a dedicated supporter of Nashville’s Humane Society and has recently collaborated with legends like Mark Knopfler and Elvis Costello. Maybe its all that cross pollination that makes her newest album, “All I Intended to Be”, sound energetic and fresh. Texas Music Matters host David Brown got a chance to talk to Emmylou about the new album and why she returned to re-interpreting other peoples songs.
