Evangelicals Have A Gig Tonight at Club DeVille

A little madness goes a long way, dear music lover. For Norman, OK band Evangelicals, it goes even further into a delightfully dark and bizarre universe. What would normally be indie synth pop is ripped apart, restructured, then ripped apart again by the band in a bouncing, jangling frenzy. Their second album, The Evening Descends, is chock full of this demented pop fury and conjures a nightmare scenario that can only be found in those cool B-horror flicks that Elvira used to show on Movie Macabre every Saturday. How can you resist?!

Evangelicals are performing tonight at Club DeVille, 900 Red River St., right smack next door to The Mohawk. Starting the evening is ultra super cool and groovy experimental /pop rock ensemble Frog Eyes, all the way from Victoria, British Columbia. What a show!
