Guy Forsyth CD Release Party at Antone’s This Friday
Ever seen Guy Forsyth live? Nowhere in this singer-songwriter’s vocabulary are the words “mellow” or “reserved.” This multi-faceted artist rattles the roof with over-the-top vocals and plays a number of instruments onstage, seemingly without taking a moment to…well, breathe, for starters. But to Forsyth, it’s a show, for crying out loud! He delivers a larger-than-life mix of blues, folk, rock and country that always makes for one big performance.
So, if you haven’t had the opportunity to see Forsyth go completely nuts on the stage, join him for his CD release party tomorrow night at Antone’s. He’s promoting his latest, Calico Girl, and will soon embark upon a summer tour. The Bluebonnets, and Nathan Singleton will be there for the party, too.
