Lafayette, LA’s Bluerunners play rock’n’roll and blues, but it’s all deep-fried in a traditional Cajun boiling pot of swampy funk. Since their first release nearly two decades ago, they have since stripped down to a trio, but bi-lingual French singer/guitarist Mark Meaux still leads the band through their frenetic, rootsy sound. Dance to the Bluerunners live on Folkways with Kevin Connor Saturday at 2:00 p.m. live from Studio 1A before their Saturday night show at Threadgill’s.
