The Hot 8 Brass Band Live – February 4, 2008

Following the tragedy of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, members of the Hot 8 Brass Band disbanded and spread themselves across the globe. Facing adversity and hardship along the way, including the tragic murder of drummer Dinerral Shavers, the band reunited with a renewed energy and vigor for their modern take on the music of the Crescent City. Listen to the Hot 8 Brass Band drop the bass drum on the “1” and swing in Studio 1A on Music with Jay Trachtenberg.
