February 9, 2008 1:00 pm by: Kevin Connor

While touring with California band The Rugburns in the early 90’s, singer/songwriter Steve Poltz met up with pop star Jewel and co-wrote several songs with her, including the hit single “You Were Meant for Me.” In 1997 he signed with Mercury Records and released his own debut One Left Shoe. His new release Traveling is produced by local Billy Harvey and features musical brethren Jeff Johnston and Scrappy Jud Newcomb on accompanying instruments. Listen to Steve Poltz and Folkways host Kevin Connor in music and conversation.
