A new rock opera based on the art and music of Daniel Johnston

After a successful run in Houston, Speeding Motorcycle is coming to Austin. The rock opera is based on the music and art of Daniel Johnston, with his songs telling the story of Joe the Boxer and his artwork informing the look of the show. The cast includes Cary Winscott, Kyle Sturdivant,Joe Folladori and Kathy McCarty, and is created and directed by Jason Nodler.

Where: Zachary Scott Theater
When: February 14 – March 23, Thursdays – Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m.
If you go to the show, be sure to stick around for the after-show concert!
