Sara Hickman and David Rice Live – November 5, 2007

November 5, 2007 10:30 am by: John Aielli

Austin singer/songwriter Sara Hickman has developed quite a prolific career since the late eighties, with over a dozen recordings and affiliations with some of the greatest folk artists on the national scene. Houston-based singer/songwriter David Rice signed to Columbia in the late nineties and released Green Electric, but it wasn’t until he began writing commercial jingles in Hollywood that he discovered his love for pure pop melody. Hickman’s dedication to numerous charities is undeniable, and she’ll team up with Rice for a Crime Prevention Institute Benefit Tuesday night at the Salvage Vanguard Theater. Listen to the duo’s first live performance on Eklektikos with John Aielli.
