When he’s not touring with friends Joe Ely and Butch Hancock as the Flatlanders, Jimmie Dale Gilmore lends his warm tenor and country, folk & blues blend to his own recordings. Nominated for a Grammy for Best Traditional Folk Album, 2005’s Come On Back is a dedication to his father and the songs he loved. Gilmore currently has songwriting workshops at The Crossings in the Texas Hill Country. He’ll stop by Studio 1A for an intimate performance Friday at 10:30 a.m. on Eklektikos.
