California Guitar Trio Live From 1A Thursday @ Noon
Paul Richards is the only U.S. native in the California Guitar Trio. Bert Lams is from Belgium, and Hideyo Moriya from Japan, but they all relocated to the Golden State in 1991 as the C.G.T. The trio met in the late ‘80s at a guitar seminar held at the England home of King Crimson’s Robert Fripp. Soon, they were recording for the Fripp/Crimson label Discipline Global Mobile. Twenty years running, the C.G.T. have toured intensively since their debut, delivering virtuosic takes on classical, jazz, pop and rock’n’roll.
