Ryan Adams From Studio 1A
North Carolina-born Ryan Adams released his solo debut in 2000, but it was the sprawling 16-song Gold, featuring Emmylou Harris and Gillian Welch, that earned him two Grammy nominations and put his name in the alt-country spotlight. Since, Adams has recorded with Norah Jones and Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh while releasing albums with backing band the Cardinals.
