Rachel Loy Live from 1A

July 23, 2007 12:00 pm by: Jay Trachtenberg

Bass player and bandleader Rachel Loy received her musical education from the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, but it wasn’t until she moved to Austin when she released her debut album Love the Mess in 2005. Her experiences with Austin’s stew of musicians led to her latest record, Tongue and Teeth, which occupies an area of pop rock real estate somewhere in the neighborhood of Rickie Lee Jones, The Cardigans, and Shawn Colvin. Hear Rachel Loy live in Studio 1A Monday at 2:00 p.m. on Music with Jay Trachtenberg.
