Live From 1A : James “Slim” Hand

June 26, 2007 10:54 am by: Jay Trachtenberg

Born in 1950’s Waco, TX, James “Slim” Hand has been a fixture in Texas country music for decades, but his first nationally distributed album didn’t arrive on record store shelves until last year, when Rounder released the Lloyd Maines-produced The Truth Will Set You Free. Hand plays the Cactus Cafe Tuesday night, but you can hear him live on Music with Jay Trachtenberg with guest host David Brown, recorded Tuesday, June 26, 2007 in Studio 1A.
