From the Archives: The Slackers

May 12, 2007 3:30 pm by: Walter Morgan

Brooklyn’s The Slackers have been playing their own brand of reggae, soul, swing and dub-influenced ska since 1991, creating a generous and loyal fan following throughout the U.S., thanks in large part to their unrivaled stage presence and live act. Last year’s Peculiar (Hellcat) attempted to capture their live energy, with dubs added to a live recording in the studio. This Saturday, catch a special repeat of The Slackers’ performance here with Walter Morgan.
